In a dimly lit prison cell.
Sharon sat in the corner with disheveled hair, feeling utterly defeated.
"Bang, bang, bang."
The sound of high heels echoed, getting closer. The prison door swung open, and a woman in a pristine white dress walked in, radiating elegance.
Sharon looked up to see the woman.
It was Lily, the child adopted by her parents, who was one year older than her and whom she called sister.
Hope flickered in Sharons eyes as she struggled to stand and reached for Lilys wrist.
"Sister, Dad and Mom are dead, and so are Brother and Sister-in-law. They all died while eating dinner together. They said I poisoned them, but how could I have killed them?"
Sharons voice was filled with desperation, tears streaming down her face.
Her pale face showed no color, her eyes sunken and filled with despair.
While she had indeed harbored resentment towards them, she could never have killed them! And what about the little one, only six years old? How could she possibly have the heart to harm her?
She gripped Lilys hand tightly, hoping to see a glimmer of trust in her eyes.
But there was none.
In those beautifully made-up eyes, there was only coldness, mockery, and even hatred.
Lily sneered, leaning closer and whispering, "Of course, I know it wasnt you, because... the one who poisoned them is me. After you went to answer your phone, I snuck in through the back door of the villa, poisoned the food, and left. When you came back, you served the meal you had prepared, and even though they didnt like you, they still ate it because it was your first time cooking for them in ten years."
"How does it feel to have killed your family?"
"Isnt it thrilling?"
Sharons ears rang, and her body trembled as a mix of coldness and hatred surged within her, erupting all at once.
"Why! Why did you do this to me?"
She grabbed Lilys clothes in desperation.
"Wait until you reach the underworld, then ask me why!"
Lily laughed coldly and shoved a piece of glass shard into Sharons hand.
Before Sharon could react, Lily grabbed her hand and pretended to stab herself in the neck, making it look convincing to others.
"Ah! Help! Sister, what are you doing? Youve already killed Mom and Dad, what more do you want? Let me go!"
"Help!"
Lily screamed loudly.
The guards rushed in quickly.
"Drop the weapon!"
"Put down the weapon!"
"Drop the weapon!"
Finally, Sharon realized Lilys intentions. She shook her head and shouted, "No, its not like that!"
She struggled with all her might, but having not eaten for days, she had no strength to break free from Lilys grip.
"Bang!"
A gunshot rang out, hitting her in the forehead, and the world turned blood-red.
Lilys eyes flashed with a cold smile.
The guards covered her with a blanket, and one of them asked, "Are you here to claim the body?"
"Yes." He nodded, his eyes filled with a mix of emotions.
"Then please sign here."
He picked up the pen and quickly wrote down three big characters鈥擲haron.
He was actually going to take her body back?
Was he planning to humiliate her? She never expected that he would come to see her in such a state. For a moment, Sharon wished she could come back to life.
But then she thought, it was her fault for being so reckless, so let him have his revenge.
To her surprise, after taking her body back, he actually buried her and even spent money to erect a tombstone.
The sky began to rain.
He took off his black coat and laid it over the tombstone.
"Im sorry."
"In the next life, you must live well."
After saying this, he turned and left.
Sharon watched his retreating figure, feeling a mix of emotions.
She never thought that the one to collect her body would be him.
Standing in front of the tombstone, she smiled bitterly, and suddenly, the wind and clouds began to swirl, and everything around her started to spin.
Am I going to hell?
Sharon raised her head, opened her arms, and closed her eyes, letting the powerful force pull at her soul.
