In the lavishly decorated bedroom, the air was thick with tension and unspoken words. Ava Lawson lay on the bed, feeling the weight of the world pressing down on her. The soft glow of candlelight flickered around her, casting shadows that danced on the walls.

“Let go of me!” she cried, her voice trembling as she struggled against Ethan’s grip.

Ethan Black, her new husband, loomed over her, his expression a mix of anger and disdain. “You think you can just walk away from this? You’re mine now.”

Avas heart raced as she looked into his piercing eyes. She had dreamed of this moment, but the reality was far from what she had imagined. The man she had once adored now felt like a stranger, and the love she had for him was quickly turning into fear.

“Please, Ethan, just let me go,” she pleaded, desperation creeping into her voice. “I didn’t want this marriage. I was forced into it.”

“Forced?” he scoffed, his tone dripping with sarcasm. “You think I don’t know what you did to get here? You played your cards well, Ava.”

Ava felt a surge of anger. “I didn’t do anything wrong! You know I loved you, but you chose to marry me for revenge!”

Ethans eyes narrowed, and he stepped closer, his presence overwhelming. “Revenge? You think this is about revenge? You’re mistaken. I married you because I had to, not because I wanted to.”

The words hung heavy in the air, and Ava felt her heart shatter. She had sacrificed so much for him, only to be treated like a pawn in his game. “Then why are you doing this? Why are you treating me like this?”

“Because you deserve it,” he replied coldly, his voice devoid of any warmth. “You think you can just waltz into my life and take what’s mine? You’re wrong.”

Avas breath caught in her throat as she realized the depth of his anger. She had thought they could build a life together, but now it felt like she was trapped in a nightmare.

“Ethan, please,” she whispered, tears brimming in her eyes. “I just want to be happy.”

He laughed, a harsh sound that cut through her. “Happiness? You think you can find happiness with me? You’re nothing but a reminder of my past.”

As he turned away, Ava felt a sense of despair wash over her. She had hoped for a fresh start, but instead, she was faced with the reality of her situation.

“Ethan, don’t walk away from me!” she shouted, but he ignored her, leaving her alone in the dimly lit room.

Ava sank back onto the bed, tears streaming down her cheeks. She had wanted this marriage to be a new beginning, but it felt like the end of everything she had ever wanted.

In that moment, she vowed to herself that she would not let Ethans bitterness define her. She would find a way to reclaim her life, even if it meant facing the demons of her past head-on.

As the night wore on, Ava realized that she had to be strong. She would not let this man break her spirit. No matter what it took, she would fight for her happiness and her future.
